Central Valley - It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Kayson, who was called home on February 2,2025. A passionate roper and hardworking farmer, Kayson was known for his love of the outdoors, his remarkable skill with horses, and his dedication to the land that was his family’s legacy.
Born on June 20, 2008, Kayson grew up on the family farm in Central Valley, where he developed a deep connection to the animals and the hard work that defined his daily life. Whether roping in the arena, hunting ducks or geese, or working long days on the farm, he did everything with a quiet determination and a smile on his face, except for his strong dislike for changing the wheel line. His friends will remember him as someone who could make any situation brighter with his laugh and his gentle, yet determined nature. His family will cherish the memory of his bright eyes, beautiful smile, big heart, and his sense of humor.
Kayson was affectionately known by friends and family as “PeeWee”, a nickname that stuck after his childhood days playing baseball given to him by Coach Bryant Blake. Whether it was on the field, where his quickness and energy stood out, or simply from his larger-than-life personality, the name reflected his spirit and character. PeeWee wasn’t just a name; it was a symbol of his playful nature, his love for the game, and his ability to bring a smile to anyone he met. It’s a memory that will live on, just as the joy he shared with those around him will never be forgotten.
Kayson was a true cowboy at heart. His love for the sport of roping was matched only by his love for his family, who was always his first priority. His kindness, work ethic, and sense of humor made him a friend to all who knew him. He had a bright future ahead of him, with many accomplishments yet to be realized, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Kayson had a special place in his heart for his beloved red Dodge, a true symbol of his passion and personality. Whether he was out for a drive rolling coal or simply taking care of it, that truck was more than just a mode of transportation – it was a reflection of his pride and joy. His love for that truck was something many of us will remember, just as we will the joy and laughter, he brought to all of us.
Kayson is survived by his parents, Kade and Trista Nielson of Central Valley, UT; Justine Chlarson, of Kanosh, UT; his siblings, Mason, Bryson, Addison, Bronson, Knox, and Kreed; his grandparents, Kent Nielson, Teresa Nielson, Joan Woolsey, Neuel and Tina Chlarson; and countless other family members, friends, who will carry his memory with them forever.
Kayson was welcomed by those who went before him with open arms. He was embraced by the love of family and friends who had already earned their wings.
Services to honor PeeWee’s life will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 12 noon in the Central Valley LDS Church, 140 North Main Street in Central Valley.
