Keith C. Holt

Torrey, Utah - Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Keith Creed Holt, age 84, of Torrey, died February 10, 2010 in Richfield, Utah. He was born August 6, 1925 in Torrey, Utah, a son of Claud and Leona Pectol Holt. He graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1943. He attended some college at the University of Utah. Keith joined the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. Keith married LaPreal Heilesen, June 14, 1946 in Glenwood, Utah. She died January 21, 1972. He married Joyce Sandberg May 3, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were later divorced. He married Martha Jane Wilkins Dorsey, January 4, 2000 in Torrey, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. She died January 14, 2005. Keith was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in various positions. He was a member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, jeep rides and photography. Keith was the owner and operator of a service and towing company in Salt Lake City and Richfield. After his retirement, he moved back home to Torrey, where he grew up and always considered it home. He is survived by his children: Michael Holt of Ogden; Kema Holt of Murray; Shelly McAllister and Ellen Moore of Las Vegas, Nevada; Terri and Robert Parker of West Valley City; Pamela and David Busk of Richfield; Nancy and John Gasper of Cheney, Washington; Douglas and Cassandra Holt of Travis, California; step-children: Adus F. Dorsey of Torrey; Janie Marie Duke of Rawleigh, North Carolina; Rose Anna Marshall of Lees Summitt, Missouri; Grant Carroll Dorsey, Thomas Lee Dorsey, Mary Katherine Hale and Paul Bryan Dorsey, all of Independence, Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister: Mack and Lorraine Holt of Richfield; Devon and Vionne Holt of Torrey; Leola Miles of Bellingham, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and her husband, Marthella and Don Dowding; a brother-in-law: Keith Miles; his first wife, LaPreal Heilson Holt and his third wife, Martha Dorsey Holt; and two step-children, Glendell Murl Dorsey and Burt Ellis Dorsey. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Wayne County Lion’s Club in memory of Keith C. Holt. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 15, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Torrey LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Torrey, Monday morning from 11;00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 will be in the Torrey Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
