Keith Crocker

November 21, 1955 — October 3, 2017

Keith Crocker, 61, peacefully went home to be with his Heavenly Father on, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at his home in Kearns, Utah. He was born November 21, 1955 in Whiteriver, Arizona, a son of Enoch and Nettie Johnson Crocker. Keith’s father and mother preceded him in death. Keith credits his aunts and uncles for raising him while living on the White Mountain Apache Reservation. He was in the LDS Indian Placement Program and lived in Utah and California during his teen years. He graduated from Healdsburg High School in Healdsburg, California in 1975. He started college at Brigham Young University where he met LaVerne Mae Young. The two married on December 16, 1983. They eventually settled in Kearns, Utah and raised a family of five boys. He had a passion for aviation and technology. He landed his dream job of working for Boeing Aircraft Company in Salt Lake City until a terminal diagnosis of Glioblastoma (a type of brain cancer) forced him to live out his life under the care of his family. Keith loved to read, play basketball, and be outdoors. He had an unwavering faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Among other things this led to him serving in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission. He was sealed to his wife LaVerne for all eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Keith continued to serve faithfully with full devotion in his local ward until his cancer diagnosis. He is survived by his loving wife, LaVerne; his children; Jaron and Krista Crocker, Aaron, Tyler, Ryan, and Cody Crocker, all of Kearns, Utah; brothers and sisters: Elton Crocker, Lambert Crocker, Josephine Cruz, Jacqueline Crocker, and JoAnna Crocker; his uncle and aunts: Ernie Crocker, Delores Alchesay and Judy Dazen. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and hospice care givers from IMC for all their love and concerns and help with our husband and father. A Memorial Service will be held at Fort Apache LDS Church in Arizona on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Western Hills 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 5107 South 5600 West in Kearns, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West in Riverton, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Kearns, Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South in Millcreek, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
