Keith W. Graves

February 2, 1945 — November 6, 2016

Mayfield, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Keith William Graves, age 71, of Mayfield, died November 6, 2016 at his home in Mayfield, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born February 2, 1945 in Salt Lake City, a son of Billy William and Lydia Fern Westberg Graves. He graduated from Granite High School, Class of 1963. He attended Salt Lake Community College and received an Associate Degree. He married Helen Lucille White, May 25, 1968 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, September 25, 1969. She died May 29, 1975. He then married Patsy Lee Stenberg, March 10, 1983 in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Keith served in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Scout Master, Cub Scout Teacher, Elders Quorum President, Executive Secretary and as an Ordinance Worker at the Jordan River Temple. He and his wife, Patsy served in the North Salt Lake Service Mission for 18 months. Keith was an avid hunter and he loved to fish. He took great pride in his yard and loved to garden and share vegetables with his neighbors. Most of all, he loved his family. Keith is survived by his wife, Patsy, of Mayfield; two daughters: Brenda (Craig) Thurston of Aurora; Pam (Mike) Karpus of Clinton; grandchildren: Atom, Camie (Nate), Morgan, Jamie (Toby), Payton, Shauntay, Telisha (Thomas), Travis (Oakley), Tyler (Whitney), Tyson (Felisha); 11 great-grandchildren; sisters: Judy (Gerry) Pettit of Riverton; Carol (Wendall) Madsen of South Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Mayfield LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 and the Hill Field Air Force Honor Guard will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
