Kenn Christiansen

November 20, 1928 — March 9, 2012

Richfield, Utah - Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Owen Kenn Christiansen, age 83, died March 9, 2012 in Richfield. He was born November 20, 1928 in Monroe, Utah, a son of Willford Owen and Edna Addeline Chalk Christiansen. He graduated from Provo High School, Class of 1947 and then attended Telegraphy School in Omaha, Nebraska. Kenn served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Air Force. Kenn married Vaunda Joyce Anderson, April 1, 1950 in Richfield. They were later divorced. He was a member of the LDS Church, where he served as a greeter. He served as President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and as Secretary for the Richfield Chamber of Commerce. Kenn enjoyed pheasant hunting, fishing with his grandkids, morning coffee with his friends at Days Inn and selling cars. He is survived by his children: Stephen Ken and Linda Christiansen of Grantsville; Miles Craig and RaJanee Christiansen of West Jordan; Kelly S. Christiansen of West Valley City; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren with three more on the way; sister-in-law: Corrine Christiansen of Glendale, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister: David Christiansen, Monte Fautin and Enna Christiansen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Richfield East LDS Stake Center, 805 North 500 East in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the Stake Center Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the VFW Sevier Post #5050 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Monroe City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
