Kenna Deanna Simpson

Salina, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Kenna Deanna Keisel Simpson, age 70, of Salina, died December 14, 2011 in Gunnison, Utah. She was born September 23, 1941 in Manti, Utah, a daughter of Kenneth Lamar and Devona Anderson Keisel. She married Bobby J. Simpson, September 8, 1962 in Ely, Nevada. He died September 29, 2009. Mom was the definition of hard work, patience, understanding, kindness and most of all love. She dedicated her life to her husband, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She taught us to care about others and the importance of love and togetherness. Mom was the cornerstone and pillar of strength and hope. She loved the mountains and family fishing trips. She made the best macaroni and potato salads that provided so much pleasure on these outings. She is survived by her children: Travis Simpson, Raymond Simpson and Robert Simpson, all of Richfield; Gordon Simpson of Salt Lake City; Troy and Connie Simpson, Wynette and Greg Langford, all of Salina; Debra and Curtis Peterson of Redmond; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Verna Bown, Dixie and Lamar James, Buddy and Dana Keisel, all of Manti; Lavon and Jim Hagen of Salt Lake City; Kenley and Dorothy Keisel of Centerfield; Timmy and Leslie Keisel of Moroni; Dee and Jeannene Keisel of Salina; Rosie and Wallace Ballow of Levan. She was preceded in death by her parents: Kenneth and Devona Keisel; her husband, Bobby; a son, Bobby Junior Simpson; a daughter-in-law: Julie Ann Holdaway; brothers and sisters: Lewis Keisel, Beth Anderson, Donna Scott, Kenneth Keisel Jr.; Verl Keisel, Doris Brewer; and two grandsons: Michael Robert Simpson and Troy Simpson, Jr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
