Richfield, Utah – Our beloved husband, father, son and brother, Kenneth Paul Doty, age 54, passed away May 7, 2021 at his home Richfield, after a brave battle with cancer. He was born October 8, 1966 in Long Beach, California, a son of Stephen Paul and Carmenlynn Mullenax Doty. He grew up in Long Beach where he enjoyed surfing, building hot rods and drag cars. He received a certificate in Culinary Arts and Automotive Mechanics. He enjoyed building cars or any sort of motorized vehicles. He married Shalise Jolley Buchanan September 1, 2017 in Richfield, Utah. Kenneth was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2012. Kenneth loved riding his Harley, “Teal”, wood working, carving wood, drawing and helping anyone who was in need, and being with his “woman” and his “Miha”. He was stubborn, goofy, loving and smart. His best quality was his mustache and how he could make it dance, and that he was very accepting of anyone. He loved taking Shalise for a ride on his Harley. He loved going to the beach, and going to visit “Dad” and “little brother” at the cemetery. His life dream was to build a house for his family and watch them grow. Kenneth always loved helping his baby girl, Chaizlei, making her dreams come true. She loved to go swimming with her Daddy, work on her 4-wheeler and help him fix his cars, draw and go to Salt Lake City with him. He helped her build a play house and got her a puppy when he was sick. He will be greatly missed. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Shalise; children: Chaizlei Ann Doty, Teghan K. Doty, Katerina Lynn Doty, Halee Lynn Buchanan and Kaden Boyd Buchanan; his father and step-mother: Stephen Paul and Donnell Reed Doty; siblings: Carrie Santos and John Gegg; David Poyorena, Christopher Pinnick, Shawn Pinnick, Stephen and Julie Doty II; Erin (Joseph, deceased) Doty; Johnathan and Amy Doty, Elizabeth and Samuel Garcia; Louis and Christina Poplin; in-laws: TJ and Jessica Sorenson; Daniel and Jade Jolley; Tristan and Chris Burton; Angelia Jolley and Kanoa Tietjen; McKayla and Marshall Thomas; father and mother-in-law: Thomas and MaryAnn Saxton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
