Kent F. Chamberlain

September 2, 1941 — October 29, 2022

Monroe, Utah – Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Kent Fox Chamberlain, age 81, passed away October 29, 2022, at his home in Monroe, after a brave and valiant battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Kent was born September 2, 1941, in Lehi, a son of Cecil June and Wanda Fox Chamberlain. He grew up in Lehi and graduated from Lehi High Class of ’59. After high school, he attended the College of Southern Utah in Cedar City.


Kent married Shirleyne Hunter in 1962 in the Manti LDS Temple. They were later divorced. He married Judy McCandless in 1968 in Reno, Nevada. They were later divorced. He married Shauna Marie Waters Childs March 25, 2006, in Richfield, Utah.


Kent was employed as a Model Maker Machinist at Lockheed and worked as an insurance agent for Farm Bureau and Beneficial Life.


He was a member of the Sevier Valley Civil Air Patrol, where he served as Captain, as well as a Certified Instrument Flight Instructor. He loved flying. He also enjoyed cabinetry, fishing, gunsmithing, and hunting was better than Christmas!!!


Kent is survived by his wife, Shauna, of Monroe; his children: Clint and Shay Chamberlain of Payson; Janelle and Rich Thornton of Midland, Michigan; Janine and Darrin Woodworth of Pioche, Nevada; Joy Austin of Carson City, Nevada; Jennifer and Kenny Miller of Yerington, Nevada; Julie and Doug MacKay of Enoch; step-children: Russell Childs of Monroe; Camla and Gary Nielsen of Price; Kelsey and Scott Eyre of Richfield; Jaclyn Childs of Monroe; 30 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way; sisters and brothers: Vickie Cooper of Lindon, Donna and Ray Seager of Taylorsville, Gary and Myra Chamberlain of Bennion, Guy and Conna Chamberlain of Lehi; Jill and Rodger Clayton of Millcreek.


He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clinton Chamberlain, and a brother-in-law: Brent Cooper.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
