Kingston, UT - Kerri Lynne Swartzmiller, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, age 63, passed away January 19, 2025 at her home in Kingston, Utah. She was born on May 17, 1961, in Salt Lake City to Rue Jolley and Lena Bell Cowley.
She grew up in Kingston, Utah and graduated from Piute High School in 1979. Later Kerri went on to achieve her dental assistant certification.
Kerri married Tom Swartzmiller in 1979, they were later sealed in the LDS Manti Temple September 27, 2003. To this union brought Kerri four beautiful daughters. Her and Tom later divorced.
Kerri was known for her infectious laughter and the love she poured into everyone around her. She was a friend to many, accepting all with open arms and making each person feel valued. Her daughters and their friends often regarded her as the best mom, someone who was always there with a smile, ready to lend support or share in the happiest moments. She was funny and always brought her sense of humor.
She loved all genres of music, with a special fondness for disco and Def Leppard. Her talents extended beyond just listening; she could skillfully play the piano, guitar, and accordion. She also loved to sing. Kerri also had a special affection for amusement parks, where laughter and thrills went hand in hand.
She cherished time spent with her daughters and grandchildren. Playing card games with family was another beloved pastime, they created happy memories of their time together. Kerri will be greatly missed by everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Kerri is survived by her mother: Lena Nielsen of Kingston, daughters: Vanessa (Michael) Willes of St. George, Sheena (Justin) Floyd of Cedar City, Karissa Swartzmiller of Kingston, Cianna (Kaden) Figgins of Panguitch, 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, brothers: David (Tammy) Jolley, Dallin (Darlene) Jolley, and James (Lily) Nielsen.
She is preceded in death by grandparents Rodney and Urania Cowley and step dad Leslie Nielsen.
Graveside services will be held January 30, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the Kingston Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM prior to services.
