Salina, Utah - Kim Bryce Nielson, age 67, of Springville and formerly of Salina, died June 9, 2017 at his home in Springville. He was born June 22, 1949 in Salina, a son of Hugh Bryce and Mildred Palma Nielson. As a child, Kim was very good at watering the yard, especially the sand pile. He would flood the sand pile and then play in the water. Kim was placed in the American Fork Training School at the age of 7. In 1998 Kim was moved to Key Residential Services and has been a resident ever since, living in Springville and Spanish Fork. Kim had a great fun sense of humor, loved to tease and make people laugh and was loved by his roommates, David and Ron, and the staff in Springville. He was a busy, active person, always trying to get under the staff's skin, but trying to get along with everyone. He loved to be outside and to have his shoes off. He will be greatly missed by his Key Residential Family in Springville. Kim is survived by his brother, Wendell Hugh and wife, Audrey Lorraine Nielson of Las Vegas, Nevada; his half sister, Eleanor Kaye Long of Salt Lake City; a sister-in-law: Carole Jean "Jeanne" and Evan D. Emett of Richfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and his extended family in Springville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Zane Nielson. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina, Saturday morning from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the services.
