Richfield, Utah - Our kind and beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Leo Klar Jorgensen, age 80, was reunited with his loving sweetheart, Mabel, Saturday January 19, 2008. He was born June 3, 1927 in Sigurd, Utah, a son of Leon Herbert and Barbara D. Nielsen Jorgensen. Klar married Mabel Turner from Lyman, Utah, on June 16, 1950 in the Manti LDS Temple. She died July 16, 2006. Klar began his business career at an early age at the gas station in Sigurd. He then joined Dick Robison in the Western Auto Store in Richfield. In 1963 they acquired the Honda Motorcycle dealership. They operated the small store on Main Street until 1974 when Klar purchased the bowling alley and moved the store and the dealership into the adjoining building. Klar and his son-in-law, Larry remodeled the building and moved all of the old store to the new store in the back of Larry’s old 68 Chevy. Klar had a keen business sense, and extended his generosity to many throughout his business career. He lovingly taught his family the value of hard work and integrity and his example of both are manifest in the successful family business today. Klar loved the outdoors. He spent many hours with his young family fishing, hunting, camping, boating and riding motorcycles. Klar loved baseball - he loved playing the game, coaching the game and watching the game and he passed this great love onto his children and grandchildren. When the golf course was built in Richfield, he found a new love and when he wasn’t at the store, you could find him at the golf course. He lovingly and patiently tried to teach all his children and grandchildren this fine game. Klar taught himself to play the guitar and loved to sing his favorite songs to his children and at family gatherings. It was always a treat to hear him sing the 50 Cent song and the Martin’s and the Coy’s. He loved his grandchildren and supported them in all their endeavors. He was so proud of all of them and their accomplishments. He is survived by his children: Patricia and Larry Hansen, Cindy and Kimball Poulson, Tammy and Bruce Card, Dennis and Kellie Jorgensen, Mike and Cyndi Jorgensen all of Richfield; Gloria and Ried Pope of St. George; 27 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters: Maurine Snedeger of Sigurd; Bonnie and Richard Fillmore of Glenwood; sisters and brothers-in-law: Dawn and Claud Mangum of Bountiful; Mark Turner of Lyman; LaWana and Meeks Morrell of Bicknell; Claudia King of Provo; BetteLou Turner of Cedar City. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother and sister: Shar Jorgensen and Norma Nelson; and his brothers and sisters-in-law: Lola Jorgensen; Harry Nelson; Grover Leon Snedeger; Willis and Luana Turner; Scott Turner; Don Emery King and Rula Turner.
