Korrey Lee Ostler

July 7, 1989 — December 12, 2022

Korrey Lee Ostler, age 33, of Richfield, passed away December 12, 2022, in Long Island, New York. He was born July 7, 1989, in Richfield, a son of Farrin Lee and Yuvonne Brown Ostler. He grew up in Lehi and graduated from Dixie State College in St. George.


Korrey worked for the United States Postal Service in Salt Lake City for a few years. He joined the United States Marine Corps and served in active duty for 4 years, where he was a Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Defense Trainer. He was discharged in 2015 with the rank of Corporal. He also worked as a maintenance supervisor for an assisted living home in Salt Lake City.


He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active in the Scouting program.


Korrey enjoyed traveling, site seeing, driving to different parts of the world, fixing and tinkering with things and joking around.


He was living in Queens, New York at the time of his passing. He will be greatly missed.


Korrey is survived by his parents: Farrin and Yuvonne Ostler of Richfield; a brother, Bryce F. and Wendy Ostler of Herriman; his grandfather, Newell Ostler of Orem; aunts and uncles: Uthana Petty of Richfield; Dina Branham of Junction; Camille Gray of Lehi; Terry Brown of Circleville; Kevin Brown of Junction; Lindon and Susie Brown of Redmond; Garth and Linda Ostler of Greely, Colorado; Duane and Kym Ostler of Australia; a nephew: Lucas Carlson of Orem; numerous cousins and friends.


He is preceded in death by a sister, Jeanie Ostler Carlson; his grandparents: Rhea Ostler, Ronald and Belva Brown.


A celebration of life will be held on December 31, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield.


Burial with military honors accorded by the Sevier Valley American Legion Post #37 and the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard will be in the Junction Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
