Lana Kay Sorensen Wilcox

Salina, Utah - It is with heavy hearts and tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful, fun-loving, adventurous and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, Aunt La-la and friend. Lana Kay was born December 6, 1970 to Ted and Trudy Sorensen in Moab, Utah. She graduated from Grand County High School in 1989 and later earned her nursing degree from UVU. She married Shane and had four beautiful children-Zachary, Miranda, Carli and Gabriel. The thing that stuck out most about Lana is she was always the first person to step in and offer help, always putting others before herself. She would have taken the shirt off her back to help a stranger if she could. Her heart had no limit to the amount of love it could share and everyone around her knew it. Lana loved get togethers and always said “the more the merrier.” She was the life of the party and her presence lit up a room. She loved playing games, especially anything that got the whole family involved. Lana was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. She will be missed dearly. Lana is survived by her husband Shane Wilcox of Salina; 4 kids: Zach Wilcox of Salina; Miranda Wilcox of St. George, Carli (Lance) Hampton of Redmond; Gabe Wilcox of Salina. Her parents Ted and Lynda Sorensen of Moab; Trudy Sorensen of Salina. Her sister Mindi (Yancy) Snyder of Salina and brother Kirby (Shalon) Sorensen of St. George. Nieces and nephews-Preston and Shelby, Sami, Nate, Jason and Bryn. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Max and Bernice Sorensen, Arlon and Wilmoth Nielson, her Father-in-law Lewis Wilcox and her nephew Tucker Dean Sorensen. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 10th, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. , streaming to the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North, in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main, Salina, Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., or Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. prior to services.
