Landon Riley Whipple

Hanksville, Utah - Our beloved son, grandson, brother and friend, Landon Riley Whipple, age 16, passed away at his home in Hanksville early on Saturday morning, March 5, 2011, of complications from a traumatic brain injury he received in 2000 from an automobile accident. He was born March 15, 1994 in Murray Utah, a son of Curtis Byron and Chylene Ruth Lierd Whipple. Landon is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents: Curtis and Chylene Whipple of Hanksville; sister and brothers: Sara and Caleb Bradbury, Brandon and Erica Whipple, all of Hanksville; Denton Whipple of Cedar City; Quinton Whipple of Provo; grandparents: Janice Whipple of Hanksville; Ann Regan of Caineville; and Dennis Lierd of Golden Valley, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his sister Trista Mae Whipple, and grandfather, Floyd L. Whipple Sr. Funeral Services will be held Thurday, March 10, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. in the Hanksville LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Thursday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to services. Burial will be in the Hanksville Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
