Lanore Harris

March 7, 1931 — December 8, 2008

Loa, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Neoma LaNore Archer Crapo Harris, age 77, died December 8, 2008 at her home in Loa, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 7, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Frank and Linna Neoma Wood Archer. She was later sealed to her parents, Hearold and Linna Crapo. She graduated from High School in Bakersfield, California in 1949. She later graduated from Excelsis Beauty School in Salt Lake City. She married Vaughn Harris, May 27, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah. LaNore was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in all the auxiliaries. She and her husband served four missions for the Church. She also served as a Voter Registration Person for 20 years. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, sewing and hair dressing, along with various other interests. She and her husband, Vaughn, moved to Loa in 2000 and ran the Care Center there for several years. LaNore is survived by her husband of Loa; children: Karen Unsworth of Loa; Beverly Call of Layton; Debbie Michaels of Spanish Fork; Barbara Sills of Layton; Roger Harris of Layton; Johnathan Harris of Fruit Heights; Rebekah Robinson of North Ogden; Leslie Lindsay of Nampa, ID; Carolyn Westling of Payson; Christian Harris of Layton; Kathryn Ruffell of Spanish Fork;o and Emily Reed of Payson; 40 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six sisters and one brother: Dawn Krebs of Bakersfield, CA; Linna Egbert of Spokane, WA; Joan Taylor of Slayterville, UT; Susan Erickson of Summit, UT; Lila Rae of Blanding; Sandra Hammond of St. Charles, MO; and Hearold Crapo of Myton, UT. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Lynn Harris; three grandchildren: Sarah Sill, Issac Harris, and Rachel Harris; a brother, David Crapo; and her parents: Linna Neoma Wood Archer Crapo, Frank Archer and Hearold Crapo. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. in the Loa LDS Stake Center, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services.
