Larry Joe Cook

June 1, 1949 — June 7, 2008

Torrey, Utah - Larry Joe Cook, age 59 of Ephraim, passed away June 7, 2008 in Provo, Utah of a massive heart attack. He was born June 1, 1949 in Tooele, Utah, a son of Deral and Valery Bayer Cook. After his father was killed in a plane crash, Joe went to live with his grandparents, Melvin and Nelda Cook of Torrey, Utah, where he was raised. He graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1968. He served a mission for the LDS Church to England. He married Gloria Cook and they were later divorced. He later married Gail Cook and they were currently living in Ephraim, Utah. Joe was a hard worker and he had lived for several years in Richfield. He “loved to fish”. Joe is survived by his wife of Ephraim; his two uncles: Don and Donna Cook; Norris and Claudia Cook, all of Torrey; a foster brother: Vincent and Maridee Craig of White River, Arizona; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Deral and Valery Bayer Cook and his grandparents Melvin and Nelda Cook. Grave side services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. in the Torrey Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
