Laura Duffin Glenn

LaCrescenta, CA/Axtell, UT - Laura Glenn, age 96, of LaCrescenta, California, passed away on April 17, 2018, at her home in LaCrescenta, after a fall one year earlier that left her bedridden. She was born January 17, 1922 in Axtell, Utah a daughter of James William and Emma Watts Duffin. She married William (Bill) Glenn July 28, 1940, in Los Angeles. They were married for 70 years when Bill died October 1, 2010. She was a beloved and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day-Saints. Laura loved being a homemaker, she loved sewing for her children, doing home canning, planning parties and doing crafts. She also loved gardening, landscape painting, rock hounding with Bill, reading, animals, traveling, camping, fishing and taking her children and grandchildren on excursions around Los Angeles. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. During the sixties and into the seventies she worked for the IRS, a job she really enjoyed. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Laura is survived by two daughters, Julie (Bruce) Molen and Louise (Albin) Werner; 16 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Warren and 1 grandchild. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Axtell Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Axtell Pioneer Cemetery in care of Don Despain.
