Lauren Kaye Petersen

Torrey, Utah - Lauren Kaye Petersen, age 52, of Torrey, daughter of Dr. A. LeMoyne and Winifred Jennens Petersen, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father, December 2, 2007 as a result of a tragic car accident. She was born June 8, 1955 in Ogden, Utah. She attended schools in the Ogden area before the family moved to Torrey, Utah, 29 years ago. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she enjoyed giving service. Lauren was also very talented, especially in the crafts and handiwork which she delighted in sharing with others. Lauren was very much loved by all who knew her. Many were touched by her loving nature and kindness. She always had a hug for everyone. She was a loving aunt to 23 nephews and nieces, and always had time to play with the children. Everyone will remember her gentle smile and warm embrace. She is survived by her parents of Torrey; siblings: Sandra and Brent T. Packer of Gilbert, Arizona; Mejken and Brian Theurer of Layton; David and Sherri Petersen of South Jordan; Karen and Steven Sunday of Morgan; Janet and Ned Mikkelsen of Bunkerville, Nevada; 23 nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 12 Noon in the Torrey LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may visit with the family one half hour prior to the services. Grave side services and burial will be Friday, December 7, 2007 at 12 Noon in the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Utah under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
