Laurie Gurr Hatch

Salina, Utah - Laurie Gurr Hatch, age 67, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on February 19, 2020 at her home in Salina, Utah. She was born in Salina on May 16, 1952 to Merrill Samuel and Joy Maurine Nay Gurr. She married her sweetheart Kevin Eric Hatch on August 20, 1971. They were sealed for time and all eternity on August 24, 1973 in the Manti LDS Temple. Laurie was a BODACIOUS wife, mom, grandma, sister and aunt. She had a zest for life and serving others brought her great joy. Laurie loved being a NANA. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her top priority. Her world revolved around them. She thrived on their joy and laughter and made sure every day that they knew how much they were loved. Laurie is survived by her husband, Kevin Eric Hatch; her children Alan Hatch of Salina, Utah; Eric and Diane Hatch of Wahiawa, Hawaii; Castina and Russell Woolsey of Mesquite, Nevada; Sabrina Acevedo of Salina, Utah; Sam and Holly Hatch of Elko, Nevada; her grandchildren: Jose and Lucia Acevedo, Patrick and Sara Hatch, Jordan and Jake McDowel, Hunter and Courtney Sandoval, Kyle Hatch, Jessica and Dugan Lynch, Thalia Acevedo, Erin Acevedo, Ryinn Hatch, Reese Hatch, and August Woolsey; her great-grandchildren Jaimee Gale, Kalel Hatch, Huxton Sandoval, and Harper McDowel. She is also survived by her siblings Sandra Sue Jensen of Redmond; Alan and Elaine Gurr of Aurora, Utah; Carl Anderson of Salina, Utah; and Merrilyn and Roger Hirschi of St. George, Utah, as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved greatly. Laurie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Roene Anderson and her grandson Lawson Woolsey. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Salina LDS Stake Center in Salina, Utah from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to “Five For The Fight” for the Utah Jazz in memory of Laurie Hatch. She loved the Utah Jazz!!!!
