Lawayne C. Hatch

February 23, 1938 — February 3, 2022

Koosharem, Utah - Our loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Grandpa Great, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, LaWayne C. Hatch passed away two weeks short of his 84th birthday, suddenly and unexpectedly February 3, 2022 at his home in Koosharem, Utah. LaWayne was born in Koosharem on February 23, 1938 to Clarin Sidney and Helen Anna Erickson Hatch. He was the first of 5 children. He married Marian Cleo Mackay on May 27, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. They raised two sons and a daughter. He loved camping, hunting, and fishing. His family was his greatest treasure and he loved them all dearly. He was a true “people person”. He truly enjoyed visiting with people who came in to the Koosharem Café and his antique store and RV Park. He was known as a quiet and gentle, very kind man. Truly one of the best! LaWayne is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marian and their children; Jeff and Penny Hatch, Jay and Marlene Hatch, and Jana and Ron Torgerson, all of Koosharem; a Brother: Legrand (Lynda) Hatch of St. George.; and a brother-in-law: Alvin Hardman of Koosharem. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister Carolyn Hardman; a sister and brother-in-law Clarina and Paul Gillette; a brother Merrill Hatch; two infant grandchildren; a great-grandson, Carter Sperry and an infant great-grandson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 12:00 Noon in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
