Leander Parsons

Ferron/Salina, Utah - Samuel Leander Parsons, age 84, died July 5, 2006 in Ferron, Utah. He was born May 14, 1922 in Koosharem, Utah, a son of George Edward and Celia Isabell Heath Parsons. Leander grew up in Aurora and lived in Salina and for the past 10 years, he has lived in Ferron. Leander worked on the Thompson Farm by Aurora, changing the sprinklers, he was a truck driver and he was a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by his two sisters: Hazel Nay of Brownville, California and Elaine Leckness of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was preceded in death by one sister and six brothers: Arthema Cornia, Harvey Parsons, Alvin Parsons, Dale Parsons, Levi Parsons, Waldo Parsons and Byron Parsons. Grave side services will be held Monday, July 10, 2006 at 12 Noon in the Aurora City Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
