Salina, Utah 0ur kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Leanna Sorensen Madsen, age 72, died July 21, 2013 at her home in Salina. She was born January 23, 1941 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Keith L. and Phyllis Jensen Sorensen. She graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1959. She married Rellis Gail Madsen, June 12. 1958 in the Manti LDS Temple. They lived all over the USA with 15 years in Grand Junction, Colorado and 15 years in Las Vegas, Nevada. After they retired they returned home to Salina in 2005. She was known as Grandma Nan or Aunt Nan to all her friends and family. She loved caring for her family, and always stated that all she every wanted to be was a "Mother". She was a great cook and loved cooking for her family. If you ever left hungry, it was your own fault. Her love was unconditional and she was very non-judgemental. She enjoyed collecting "minatures" and had them all around the house. She loved the mountains, but most of all, she loved her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She will be greatly missed. Grandma Nan is survived by her devoted and caring husband, Gail, of Salina; her children: Garin Gail Madsen of Richfield; Jace and Candace Madsen of Bountiful; Brock and Cyndi Madsen of Orem; Kort Madsen of Salina; Moni Lee and Don Hattery of Mesa, Arizona; Kara Kae Minyard of Las Vegas, Nevada; 21 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother: Gaylia and Terral Huntsman, Suzette and Robert Maxwell, all of Sandy; Iris (Jerry, deceased) Bradshaw of Denver, Colorado; Sheila Sorensen of Salina and Kevin Sorensen of Aurora. She is preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Phyllis Sorensen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 west 400 North in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main Street in Salina, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning at the Salina Stake Center from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
