Hanksville, Utah - Our beloved wife, daughter, mother and sister, Leesa Ann Shumway Curtis, age 46, died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at her home in Hanksville. She was born August 19, 1960 in Elko, Nevada, a daughter of Joseph Leeon and Joann Hannon Shumway. Leesa served in the United States Army during the Persian Gulf Crisis in Germany. She was a member of the LDS Church, where she served as a Visiting Teacher. She married Mack Curtis, May 1, 2003 in Prescott, Arizona. Leesa loved her crafts and beadwork. She enjoyed camping, fishing and being in the outdoors. She is survived by her husband, Mack, of Hanksville; two sons: Matthew Norman Swap of Arizona and Jacob Christian of Ohio; her mother, Joann Payne of Monroe; her sister, Patsy and Michael Roberts of Richfield and her brother, Kirk and Angela Payne of Elsinore. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Leeon Shumway; and her step-father, Harry Payne. Grave side services will be held Friday, June 8, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in the Torrey Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 and under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
