Lenny Brent Newby

Salina, Utah - Lenny Brent Newby, age 25, our loving father, son, brother, grandson, nephew and friends, passed away February 28, 2003 at his home in Salina, Utah. He was born June 11, 1977 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Brent Kay and Debra Jo Malmgren Newby. Lenny loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved his two sons, Baylee and Jayce Newby. Lenny will be greatly missed by his family and friends and most of all his two little boys who looked up to him and enjoyed their time together doing the things they loved. Lenny made his presence known everywhere he went with his knack for making people laugh and by being the life of every get together. He is survived by his sons: Lenny Baylee Newby, age 6 and Jayce Braxton Newby, age 4; his parents: Brent and Debra Newby of Salina; brother and sisters: Brady and Amber Newby of Richfield; Brenna and C.G. Heath of Redmond; Kristyn and Russell Monroe of Tooele; grandparents: Bob and Berva Malmgren of Salina; LaCoy and Vida Newby of Kearns; great-great-grandmother: Fern and Edgar Nielsen of Centerfield, Utah; nieces and nephews: Katelyn, Alyssa, Cheltsey, Kamree, Austin, McKinsey, Chantri and Kaybri. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Edwinn Malmgren, Royal and Bernice Holdaway, Leonard and Christine Newby, James and Francis Davenport; and two cousins: Brittney Bo Sylvester and Ryan Wells. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at 12 Noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Monday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. and at the Stake Center Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
