Leo worked as a lineman for 35 years at the San Diego Gas & Electric Company, out of the Eastern Operating Division in El Cajon, CA. He was the lead foreman of the Mountain Empire District in Campo, CA when he retired. Leo enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he included his family in all of his outings. Upon retirement in 1983, he and Dolores moved to Glenwood, Utah. Leo began golfing and became involved in competitive horseshoe pitching. He was a member of the Southern Utah Horseshoe Pitching Association and will be remembered fondly by the friends he met there. He was a very giving and helpful neighbor, as folks in Glenwood will tell you. Neighbors often talk about watching Leo doing their tree trimming by climbing huge trees with his lineman hooks. He also maintained the local cemetery, read water meters and was a handyman for anyone in need. He planted grapes and a big garden each year and invited others to come reap the harvest. He was always ready to pitch in and help in the neighborhood, no matter what the need. He cherished his family and friends. Leo is survived by his wife of six years, Norlene; children, Larry L. Flick and wife Kathy of Cedar City, UT; Denice C. and husband Brent King of Leasburg, MO. There are six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
