Leon A. Harward

Salina, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Olive Leon Anderson Harward, age 95, of Salina, died December 11, 2007 in Richfield, Utah. She was born September 3, 1912 in Aurora, Utah, a daughter of Samuel Clarence and Ruth Harding Anderson. She married Herald Harward, March 7, 1931 in Manti, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died December 8, 1986. Leon was an active member of the LDS Church. She was an avid rock collector and spent many hours in central Utah, hunting rocks. She loved to fish and hunt. Leon like to putter in her flower garden and she had a great desire to help her family and others who needed help. She is survived by her children: Kathryn J. Jolley of Richfield; Ross J. and Shirleen Harward of Salina; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
