Lex C. Taylor

American Fork, Utah - Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Lex Clifford Taylor, age 70, passed away peacefully at his home in American Fork on May 14, 2019. He was born March 1, 1948 in Sevier County to Clifford O. and Madge E. Barney Taylor. He graduated from North Sevier High School in Salina, Utah. He grew up in Aurora until he married Norma Sorensen in 1968 in Manti, Utah. He eventually settled in Magna, Utah to raise their family. With the passing of his wife, Norman in 2006, Lex was able to meet and marry Deanna in 2009 in Salt Lake City. Lex worked for most of his adult life as a truck driver of which he really enjoyed the career. One of the companies he proudly worked for was Swire Coca Cola. Lex loved the outdoors, from camping, hunting and fishing trips as well as spending time with family and friends. He was an active and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Beehive Home and Encompass for love and tender care of our beloved husband, dad and grandpa. Lex is survived by his wife, Deanna Taylor; his children: Scott and Cheryl Taylor; Marinda Neerings; grandchildren: Ashley Taylor, Alex Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Joshua Severe, Rodney Neerings and one great-grandson: Hunter Severe; his brothers: Raylen and Debi Taylor, Kerry and Susie Taylor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Madge Taylor; and his wife Norma Sorensen Taylor. Memorial services will be held on June 1, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the American Fork 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 300 East 300 South in American Fork, Utah, with a reception to follow the services. All are welcomed to attend and celebrate Lex's life.
