Libbie M. Brindley

November 20, 1915 — February 20, 2008

Koosharem, Utah - Our special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Libbie Elizabeth Manwill Brindley, age 92, of Koosharem, returned to her Heavenly Father, February 20, 2008 in Gunnison, Utah, of natural causes. She was born November 20, 1915 in Koosharem, Utah, a daughter of Franklin Monroe and Mary Ann Sorensen Manwill. Libbie attended grade school in Koosharem and graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1934. She married her childhood sweetheart, Milton J. Brindley, January 28, 1935 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, September 23, 1936. Milton died November 24, 1988. Libbie was a life long member of the LDS Church. Through the years, she held many positions and served her Heavenly Father faithfully. She was a Manti Temple Ordinance Worker for several years. She served a mission with her husband in the Dakota-Manitoba Mission from 1974 to 1976. Mom had unconditional love for everyone, especially her family. Her whole life was filled with service to others. She was a righteous woman with boundless energy. Her life was full of hardships and challenges which she overcame and endured to the end. Overcoming these have made her a very special Daughter of God. She is survived by her children: Wayne and Nancy Brindley of Koosharem; Mary Ann and Jack Walters of Richfield; Sharlot and J. Lowell Moss of Meridian, Idaho; Vione and Paul Simkins of Smithfield; Vaida and Cody Black of Page, Arizona; 26 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother: Marion and Violet Manwill of Payson; sisters-in-law: Norma Westwood of Rexburg, Idaho; Opal Manwill of St. George; Wanda Manwill of Richfield; Betty Manwill of Oakley. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Milton Douglas Simkins; five brothers and one sister: Willis Manwill, Cyrus Manwill, Wallace Manwill, Frank Jr. Manwill, Don Manwill and Leda Keifer. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 25, 2008 at 11:00A.M. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Koosharem, Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
