Lillis Anne Gentry

March 30, 1954 — July 4, 2020

Delta, Utah – Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister and friend, Lillis Anne Gentry, age 66, passed away on July 4, 2020 in Richfield, Utah. She was born on March 30, 1954 in Richfield to Billie Lee Sattley and Anne Holt. She married Mark Anders on May 30, 1978 in Henderson, Nevada. Though they were later divorced, he was the love of her life and they found their way back together multiple times. They still cared deeply for each other at the time of her death. Lillis attended Kearns High School in her youth but didn’t graduate. In a demonstration of determination and tenacity, she returned to school as an adult, graduating in 1996 from Cedar Ridge High school and going on to attend Snow College where she earned an Associates of Business Technology in 1999. Lillis had many hobbies and interests. As a younger woman she enjoyed her Pepsi’s, but later converted to SoBes. She loved horses, dancing, crafts, collecting pictures, and computer games. She did her best to stay organized and was notorious for making lists. She loved Native American Culture, and was very proud of her Comanche and Cherokee heritage. Lillis was known as grandma by everyone she knew. She was the matriarch of her family. She lived for her grandkids. She loved spending time with them, and got a kick out of telling them haunted house stories. You couldn’t talk to her without her bragging about her kids and grandkids. They have fond memories of time spent with Grandma. Her absence will be strongly felt, but her family looks forward to the time when they will be reunited with her. The family would like to thank the Richfield Care Center for going over and beyond in their care for Lillis and for the caring and competent staff that helped ease her passing. She was blessed to spend her last days being well cared for by two of her grandchildren who worked there. Lillis is survived by her children: Tiana (Joe) Smart of Salt Lake; Kauna (Scott) Riddle of Tooele; Brandi (Roberto) Cardenez of Milford; Tabby (Andrew) O’Neil of Delta; Marki (Jason) Rowley of Fillmore; brother Bill (Sherena) Sattley of Elsinore; sister Joyce (Brooks) Warford of Arkansas; an ex-husband Mark Anders of Delta; 35 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
