Linda Springer Jacobsen

June 23, 1962 — October 26, 2013

Axtell, Utah - Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Linda Springer Jacobsen, age 51, of Axtell, passed away in Gunnison, Utah on Saturday, October 26, 2013 due to complications of reconstructive surgery. She had fought a long fight with breast cancer and lymphoma. Linda was born June 23, 1962 in Washington, DC. She attended schools in Salina, graduating from North Sevier High School and also attended Snow College in Ephraim. Linda graduated from the Police Academy in Draper, Utah and started a career as a Correctional Officer for the State of Utah until she medically retired earlier this year. On March 19, 2001, Linda married the love of her life, Jeffrey England Jacobsen in Salina, Utah. Throughout the years, they have shared many great experiences on their journey of growing old together. Linda loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Since she was a child, she had a passion for horses, one that she got from her Grandpa Joe Springer, and enjoyed teaching her grandchildren all about them. She had many hobbies. She liked to play the piano, crochet blankets for family and friends, fishing anywhere she could, hunting cougars and other animals, working with photographs and videos on the computer, and was always striving to learn new things. She is survived by her husband, Jeff, of Axtell; sons: Josh and Michelle Jacobsen of Redmond; Creston J. Springer of Ogden; Nicholas B. Rowlett of Lake Isabella, California; parents: Joe H. and Sharon Springer of Salina; grandchildren: Vanessa and Daniel Springer of West Valley City; Mercedes and Gage Jacobsen of Redmond; sister and brothers: Vicki and Walter Roed of Loveland, Colorado; Kelly and Ellen Springer, Gaylen and Kristen Springer, all of Delta; Blake J. Springer of Elko, Nevada; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, WIlliam Patrick Hopkins and Ray B. Bethers; and a daughter-in-law: Brittany Lee Jolley Springer. Grave side services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Elsinore Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main Street in Salina, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
