Lois J. Goetz

April 12, 1935 — December 17, 2018

Richfield, Utah - Our kind and loving sister, aunt, step-mom and friend, Lois Jenson Goetz, age 83, of Richfield, passed away December 17, 2018. She was born April 12, 1935 in Fremont, a daughter of Wayne Clarkson and Ella Jeneal Morrell Jenson. She grew up in Bicknell and graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1953. She married Rudolph Harry Goetz January 15, 1970 in Winnemucca, Nevada. Lois had an eye for color and design and enjoyed helping Harry in his furniture upholstery business. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lois was a classy lady and always cared how she was dressed and how she looked. She never went out of the house without her hair done, make-up on and dressed fit to kill. She enjoyed gardening and would furnish the entire neighborhood with tomatoes and fresh veggies every year. Her yards were always manicured and very well kept. She loved to bake and share what she had made with all the neighbors. She was known in the neighborhood as the Cookie Lady. Lois is survived by 2 step-daughters: Sharon and Paul Geertsen of Orem; Sandy and Doug Hein of Lakewood, Colorado; 4 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; siblings: Karen Bruce of Salt Lake City; Diana and Jeff Ogden of Richfield; Randy and Marsha Jenson of Bicknell; numerous nieces and nephews that thought the world of Aunt Lois. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry, who died March 9, 2004; and 3 siblings: Jeneal Brown, Raquel Martinez and Bill Jenson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Stacy Patterson, Emily Ramirez, Myrica Harding, Dr. Brett Hilton, Gunnison Home Health, Cindy, Shanalee and Pat; Jared and Lacy Hopper and family; the Beehive Home, Justin Sorensen and caregivers; the Richfield Care Center and all those who have shown kindness in anyway; friends, neighbors and family.......thank you so much. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Fremont Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
