Marysvale, Utah - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Lois Jean Curtis Elder, age 79, of Marysvale, passed away November 12, 2015 in Provo. She was born October 8, 1936 in Aurora, Utah, a daughter of Floyd and Bessie Mason Curtis. She married Glen Jensen in 1952 and they were later divorced. She married Ted Cox in 1959 and he was killed in 1960. She married Clark R. Elder, May 6, 1961 in Pioche, Nevada. They were married for over 54 years. They lived most of their married life in Marysvale, enjoying all the outdoor activities it had to offer. At different times, Lois worked in the local Country Store, but her main interest was in being a homemaker and a good mother to her children. Lois was a member of the LDS Church, but participated in only a few of its activities. Beyond this and above all, she had a deep and abiding faith in God. Unwavering, it was reflected in her character and molded her into the honest and genuine person that she was. Lois was fun loving and greatly enjoyed the association she had with friends and neighbors. Some of the things she loved to most was: The Beauty Shop gossip, the Rook Club, the Denver Broncos and the Cocktail Hour. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her. Lois is survived by her loving husband, Clark, of Marysvale; children: Deborah and Craig Christensen of Salt Lake City; Glenna and Terry Shaw of West Wendover, Nevada; Terrance and Kathy Elder of Las Vegas, Nevada; Kathleen Snedeger and Jerry Benson of Hurricane; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Onda Vee Dotson and Ilene Parsons both of Richfield; Gloria Stewart of Sigurd; Dent Curtis of Glenwood; and Lane Curtis of West Jordan.
