Lola M. Anderson

Manti, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Lola Merriam Anderson, age 90, of Manti, died June 1, 2008 in Mayfield, Utah. She was born October 29, 1917 in Manti, Utah, a daughter of Clyde and Loretta Squires Merriam. She married Fredrick Moyle Anderson, June 24, 1940 in Nephi, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, July 3, 1951. He died in August of 1988. Lola was an active member of the LDS Church. She worked as a seamstress, sewing shirts, parachutes and clothing and she worked in the Pea Cannery in Manti for many years. She is survived by her children: Owen Clyde and Diane Anderson of Bountiful; Kent (Sharon, deceased) Christensen of Gunnison; 6 grandchildren; 21great-grandchildren; sister: Eunice Anderson of Ephraim. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Loretta Merriam; a daugther, Sharon Christensen; a son, Paul Moyle Anderson; her husband, Fredrick Moyle Anderson; and a brother, Roy Merriam. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the Manti LDS Tabernacle, 90 South Main Street, in Manti, where friends may call for videwing Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
