Loralee Hales Anderson

September 2, 1955 — June 2, 2006

Joseph, Utah - Our kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Loralee Hales Anderson, age 50, died suddenly and unexpectedly June 2, 2006 at her home in Joseph. She was born September 2, 1955 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Marwood John and Alice Maurine Butterfield Hales. She grew up in Redmond where her father operated Hales Sand and Gravel. Loralee graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1973. She married Russell Erastus Anderson September 14, 1973 in the Manti LDS Temple. They made their home in Elsinore where they raised their three children. They moved to Joseph in the early ninety’s. Loralee was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as librarian in the ward. She had worked for Hales Sand and Gravel as a bookkeeper, then she worked at K-Mart in Richfield for 6 years and for the past 12 years she has been a Computer Lab Technician for South Sevier High School, a job she thoroughly loved and enjoyed doing. Loralee enjoyed scrapbooking, crocheting, spending lots of time with her grandkids and traveling. She is survived by her loving husband, Russell, of Joseph; children: Shanna Lee and Jeff Record, Tammy Renee Anderson and Tom Gibson, all of Sandy; Marty and Malisa Anderson of Monroe; 4 grandchildren: Casey Ann Anderson, Robby Tyrel Anderson, Dakota Russell Anderson, Brooklynn Record; brothers and sisters: John and Kathy Hales of Richfield; Tom and Jan Hales of Redmond; Newell and Tammy Hales, Mary Ellen and King Anderson, Janeen and Russ Chavez, all of Salina; mother-in-law: Renee Anderson Morrill of Mayfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marwood and Maurine Hales; a sister-in-law, Lael T. Hales; her father-in-laws: Robbie Anderson and Phyl Morrill. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 9, 2006 at 12 Noon in the Joseph LDS Ward Chapel in Elsinore, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Elsinore Friday morning from 10:00 00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
