Mayfield, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, neighbor, and friend Lori Ann Nielsen Lauritzen died on Monday, February 24, 2014 after a tragic car accident. Lori was born on December 12, 1977 in Richfield, Utah. She's the daughter of Teryle Oscar and Jean Lewis Nielsen. She grew up in Mayfield, and graduated from Gunnison Valley High School with the class of 1996. She married Mark Theodore Lauritzen on July 25, 2003 in St. George, Utah. Later on their happy family was completed with the birth of their daughter Vickie. Lori was a member of the LDS church. She was very caring and loved to serve others. She was an animal lover, and had a habit of picking up strays. She especially loved her four cats Oreo, Pepper, Pepper Jack, and Stripes. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and her pets whom she considered part of her family. She enjoyed the outdoors. She liked to camp and fish. She enjoyed making crafts, and was very creative. She liked doing crosswords. She loved playing video games with her daughter. Lori is survived by her husband Mark T. Lauritzen of Mayfield; her daughter Vickie Jean Lauritzen of Mayfield; her parents Teryle O. and Jean Lewis Nielsen of Mayfield; her sister Kelli Nielsen of Mayfield; her grandfather Glen and Sandy Phillips of Monroe; her uncles: Neil and Evette Lewis of Kearns; Duane and Alice Nielsen of Mission Viejo, California; Cory and Lillian Nielsen of Kaysville; her aunts: Darla and Russell Kimball of Escondido, California; Tammy Nielsen of Centerfield; Wendy and Brent Johnson of Manti. She was proceeded in death by her grandparents: Clarence Lewis and JoeLane Chidester; Lila Phillips; Hugh Nielsen; her aunts: Marleen Thompson; Marie Hawkins; Elaine Buchner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in the Mayfield Ward Chapel, 15 East 100 North, Mayfield, Utah. Friends may call for viewing on Monday evening from 6 to 8 at the ward chapel, or Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to services. Burial will be in the Mayfield Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina.
