Lorraine Chappell

Lyman, Utah - Our kind and beloved Mom, Nana, daughter, sister and aunt, Lorraine Chappell, age 55, died September 4, 2007 at her home in Lyman. She was born November 8, 1951 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Lloyd Bybee and Hannah Delaine Madsen Chappell. She graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1970. She married Lee A. Duncan, June 24, 1970 in the Manti LDS Temple. They were later divorced. She married Richard Pastorella March 31, 1995 in Manti, Utah. They were later divorced. Lorraine served in various church callings throughout her life. She was always willing to help those in need and did it lovingly. She served as an EMT for many years and as a home health nurse, both of which she loved and thoroughly enjoyed. Lorraine had a talent for home decor and creating beautiful flower arrangements, making crafts and sewing. She had the ability to make something ordinary into something extraordinary. Her greatest love and joy in life was her children and grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her six children: Amy and Ken Ekins of Enoch; Holly Duncan of Salt Lake City; KimberLee and Benjamin Neff, Kassidee and Joshua Brown, all of Loa; Darci and Cole Elmer of Bicknell; Kevin Lee Duncan of Lyman; 7 grandchildren: Brianna Jane Ekins, Macen Wade Ekins, Makinleigh Brielle Baez; Zachary Taylor Neff, Samuel Duane Neff, Hannah Brooke Neff, Jaxon Cole Elmer and 1 on the way; her mother, Delaine Chappell of Lyman; sisters and brothers: JaNell and Jeffrey Peterson, Bruce and Dana Chappell, all of Lyman; Lois and Stanley Brian of Loa; Nora Ann and Todd Petersen of Gunnison; LaRell and Susan Chappell of Glenwood; Byron and Tara Chappell of Elkridge; Nathan and Nila Chappell of Provo. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Chappell. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 10, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in the Lyman LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Monday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Lyman Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
