Louise C. Bay Marysvale, UT. - Evelyn Louise Cuff Bay, age 86, died April 4, 2003 at the home of her daughter in Circleville, Utah where she had been living for the past year. She was born September 7, 1916 in Marysvale, Utah, a daughter of Robert Adrian and Jenette Evelyn Thompson Cuff. She graduated from Marysvale High School, Class of 1934. She married Thello Darwin Bay, December 18, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died January 9, 1976. Louise was very active in the LDS Church, serving in the Relief Society and the Young Women’s Program. She live in Richfield and Piute County all her life. Louise owned and operated the Marysvale Motel 4 U since 1954. She served as Justice of the Peace, for a short period, taking the place of her husband, after his death. Louise and Thello operated the Purple Haze Dance Hall in Kingston Canyon, during the Big Band Era and she ran a hamburger café in Junction, for a short while. Louise was an all round entrepreneur. Louise was very kind and caring. Her generosity and kindness extended past her immediate family to her nieces and nephews, that have benefitted from her generosity. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving children: Thomas D. and Jo Bay, Canyon Lake,CA; Mary Louise Fullmer, Circleville; Verleen W. Bay, Las Vegas, NV; 9 grandchildren: Darren Bay, Lisha Truman, Julie Willis, Brett Bay, Marci Bay, Tiffiny Bay, Brittani Fullmer, Miles Fullmer and Brinn Fullmer 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Virge (Beth) Cuff, Bloomington, UT. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Robert “Bob” E. Bay and also four brothers and one sister: Adrian B. Cuff, Champ T. Cuff, Madge C. Hopkins, Wm. Ward Cuff and Robert L. Cuff. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at 12 Noon in the Marysvale LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and at the ward chapel in Marysvale, Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Graveside services and burial will be Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. in the Richfield City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
