Panguitch, Utah - Luella Mae Helquist Adams, age 84, passed away march 9, 2019 in Panguitch, Utah. She was born November 5, 1934 in Koosharem, Utah, a daughter of Alfred Leo and Laura Vest Helquist. She married Nathan Calvin Adams December 25, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple August 29, 1994. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2010. She worked at Sharon's Beauty Salon in Panguitch, with her best friend, Sharon Moore, for over 25 years. She helped keep all the ladies of Panguitch beautiful. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served willingly and well. She put in many hours in the production of Promised Valley and many Road Shows in the Panguitch Utah Stake. She was loved by many as "Aunt Lue". Lue is survived by a brother, Lee and Janice Helquist of Richfield; a sister, Leora Johnson of Payette, Idaho; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by 11 siblings: Merida L. Huntsman, Elvera Ilene Roberts, Donal Helquist, Burns Helquist, Lacon Helquist, Ellen Helquist, Elman Helquist, Alfred Helquist, Sherlene Spencer, Leslie Helquist and LeEarl Helquist. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the nurses and workers at the Garfield Care Center and Hospital for their awesome care and love shown to Aunt Lue. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in the Panguitch 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 178 North 400 East in Panguitch, where friends may call for viewing Thursday morning from10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Panguitch City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
