Macray Hatch

October 4, 1940 — June 3, 2017

Richfield, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, MacRay Hatch of Richfield, passed away unexpectedly in the Utah Valley Hospital on June, 3 2017 at the age of 76. He was born on October 4, 1940 in Koosharem, Utah. A son of June Alton and Norma Moosman Hatch. He attended Richfield High School and Graduated with the Class of 1958. He married Rosalie Haycock on October 5, 1961 in Kanab, Utah. They later divorced. He married Judy Marie Christensen on February 1, 2002 in Bullhead City, Arizona. After graduation MacRay moved to Kanab and went to work for Kaibab Lumber Company. He worked there until they shut down. He then worked for Kane county until he retired at 62. He also worked a couple years at a LDS Church ranch, and as a volunteer firefighter. MacRay was a cheerful person who always had a joke at the ready. He teased his family and friends to the point where they never knew when to take him seriously. He loved to fish and hunt. His favorite thing was spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Judy Hatch of Richfield; his kids: Mike and Michell Hatch of Salt Lake City; Brent Hatch of Kanab; Ryan and Alicia Hatch of Kanab; Jamie and Dave Spencer of Glendale; Jolene and Blake Harris of Orderville; his brothers: Eddie Hatch of Cedar City; Marvin and Hazel Hatch of Fredonia; DeLoy and Jeanne Hatch of Salina; his sister Annette and Cecil Hunt of Richfield; 13 Grandchildren; 7 Great-grandchildren, and 1 on the way. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and a daughter Joni Hatch. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 12:00 Noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. prior to services, or on Wednesday evening at the Mosdell Mortuary 676 South 175 East in Kanab from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
