Salt Lake City, Utah – Our beloved father, son and brother, Juan Manuel Cardenas-Perez, age 38, passed away November 8, 2021 at his home in Salt Lake City. He was born June 1, 1983 in San Juan, Mexico, a son of Pascual Cardenas and Maria Teresa Perez. He graduated from high school in Salt Lake City in 2000 and then went on to become a Certified Massage Therapist and a Certified Welder. Manuel lived in Mexico City until 1994 when he moved to Salt Lake City and stayed there until 2001, when he moved to Milford. He is a member of the Catholic Church. He was kind and humble and loved to help people in need. His passion was old cars, especially fixing up his 1956 Chevy; motorcycles; welding; being in the mountains; and being around family. Manuel is the father of three children: Abby, Teresa and Leo Cardenas. He is also survived by his father, Pasqual Cardenas of Beaver; mother, Maria Teresa Perez of Salt Lake City; siblings: Maria and Jaime Flores and Pedro Cardenas, all of Salt Lake City; Robert and Brandi Cardenas of Beaver. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Antonio Perez; Evlalia Olvera; Leonardo Cardenas and Maria Olvera; and an uncle, Antonio Perez. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 810 North State Road 118 in Central Valley, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Saturday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Beaver Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
