Margaret Goble

May 3, 1939 — November 6, 2022

Gunnison, Utah – Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Margaret Marie Johnson Goble, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2022, in Spanish Fork, Utah. She was born May 3, 1939, in Fairview, Utah, a daughter of William Ross and Ceva Norman Johnson. Margaret went to school in North Sanpete and then attended Snow College in Ephraim. She married her sweetheart Boyd Earl Goble September 20, 1958, in the Manti LDS Temple. To this union were born four children, 3 sons and 1 daughter. Boyd preceded her in death on December 26, 2004.


Margaret was a gifted pianist and accompanied her husband, while he sang, for many events over the years. She also enjoyed performing duets with her dear friend Rula Warren. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings and fulfilled them to the highest standards. Margaret worked at Valley Builders in Gunnison for 30 years as a receptionist.


She is survived by her children: Laurie Morrison; Jeffery Goble and a daughter-in-law: Jodi Goble; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings: Kathie Giles and Mike Johnson; also numerous nieces and nephews.


She is preceded in death by her parents, William Ross and Ceva Johnson; her husband, Boyd; sons: Jimmy Goble and Johnny Goble; and brothers: Albert Ross, Ronald and Robert Johnson.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11:00A.M. in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, 80 West Center in Gunnison, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services.


Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
