Margo Kae Neilsen, age 69, passed away June 9, 2024, at her home in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on July 26, 1954, in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Lyle Geddes and Clela Sampson Nielsen. Her early years were spent as the firstborn child traveling with her parents from North Carolina, Kentucky, Logan and Provo Utah, and then on to Hacienda Heights, California. Margo spent her elementary years in California before returning to Utah when her parents divorced. This is where she met her husband of 7 years, Blain Roberts.
Margo spent the majority of her life caring and giving to others. She had many families and friends that she enjoyed cooking for and spending time with. Anyone who knows her knows she would give you the shoes off her feet and the food off her plate. The word generous doesn’t go deep enough to describe Margo.
She lived a difficult life as a single mother but did it without fear and with an abundance of perseverance. She was not afraid of hard work and did what it took to care for herself and others. She developed fishing tournaments and impact panels as a way to help others and give back. She took great pride in her ability to help both her children complete college, as education was important to her.
She was dedicated to animal rescue and spent countless hours helping homeless pets get medical services and find good homes. She was truly a guardian angel to the animals and will be recognized by God for this.
Margo is survived by her daughter: Tracy (Roy) Mullen; 2 grandchildren Kasidee Evon and Lucaya Mullen; her mother: Clela Nielsen; her father: Lyle Nielsen; her siblings: DeAnn Edyk Martinez, Teresa Durko, Roben Northern, and Dean Nielsen; and all the rest of you out there that consider her family.
Margo is preceded in death, by her oldest daughter, Terra Wright.
