Marie Hendrickson

Glenwood, Utah - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Marie Jensine Holst Hendrickson, age 76, died suddenly on Thursday, January 27, 2005 in Glenwood, Utah. She was born January 5, 1929 in Pittsville, Wisconsin, a daughter of Christian Thorvald and Edna Irene Anderson Holst. She married Robert Stamper May 27, 1953 in Dickinson County, Michigan. They were later divorced. She married Sheldon “Chub” Henry Hendrickson, June 2, 1961 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnzied in the Salt Lake LDS Temple July 9, 1984. Marie received her Master’s Degree in Education and taught at the Salina Elementary School in Salina, Utah. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Relief Society President and she worked at the Manti LDS Temple. Marie was a Senior Center Volunteer and a Tourist Information Host. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, spending time with her family, gardening, bowling, card games and snow skiing. She is survived by her husband, Chub Hendrickson of Glenwood; children: Bruce and Pat Hendrickson of Glenwood; Barb and Jeff Bode of Moore, Idaho; 7 grandchildren: Preston Hendrickson, Levi and Alissa Hendrickson, Rachel Hendrickson, Kendra Hendrickson, Brach Hendrickson, Coleman Bode and Marshall Bode; 1 great-grandchild: Taylan Hendrickson; brother: Harvey and Marge Holst of Reedsburg, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Irene Holst. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 12 Noon in the Glenwood LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the family at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and at the ward chapel in Glenwood, Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
