Loa, Utah - Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Marion J. Brown, age 60, died October 26, 2010 in Provo, Utah. He was born March 13, 1950 in Gunnison, Utah, a son of Marion Alonzo and Melda DeLeeuw Brown. He grew up in Wayne County, working on the family farm. He graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1968. He married Stella Rae Edwards, December 13, 1969 in Lyman, Utah. Marion loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed riding horses and horse racing. He farmed and ranched in Wayne County, with his family and friends for over 40 years. He loved his association with good friends while farming and herding cattle. Marion was a member of the Wayne Riding Club and the Wayne Race Horse Association. He served on the Fair Board for many years. He was the announcer for rodeo’s, parades and horse races in Wayne County for over 20 years. He was a member of the LDS Church. Marion will be greatly missed by his wife, Stella, of Loa; his five sons: Trent and Mandy Brown of Fairbanks, Alaska; Troy Don Brown of Indian Springs, Nevada; Travis J. Brown of Monroe; Trace R. Brown of Loa; Lance William and Shannon Brown of St. George; grandchildren: Skyler and Marci Brown, ShyAnn Brown, Addelyn Brown, and Linkon Lance Brown (due any day), all of St. George; Colby Brown, Mavrik Brown, Chase Knight, Tyler Knight, Braiden Wilkens and Dallen Wilkens, all of Fairbanks, Alaska; KyLee Brown and HayLee Brown, both of LaVerkin; great-grandson, Raiden Brown of St. George; sisters and brother: Evelyn and Dan Nielson of Greenwich; Neil and Brenda Brown of Orem; Gladys and Jerry Miller of Orem. He was preceded in death by a brother, Boyd Brown; an infant sister; and three grandchildren: Devon Brown, Brody Brown and Cambri Dawn Brown. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Loa LDS Stake Center. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Friday at the Stake Center in Loa from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Loa Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
