Marjorie Taylor Ainsworth

Richfield, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Marjorie Taylor Nelson Ainsworth, age 91, died November 13, 2008 in Richfield. She was born February 14, 1917 in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Robert Allen and Myrtle Elizabeth Peterson Taylor. She graduated from Wayne High School in Bicknell in 1934. She attended BYU for a while. Marge married Vern Lewis Nelson, February 14, 1938 in the Manti LDS Temple. They were later divorced. She married Benjamin M. Ainsworth, June 21,1962 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died December 4, 1977. Marge was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Primary President, MIA President, Visiting Teacher and Ordinance Worker in the Manti Temple. She loved to crochet and embroider. She was a fantastic cook and spotless housekeeper. Marge worked at the Sevier Valley Hospital for 22 years as a Nurses Aid and loved every minute of it. She also volunteered at the Richfield Care Center for many years. She is survived by her children: Vernis and Rex Taylor of West Valley City; Robert and Lyn Nelson of Draper; step-daughter, Louise and Bob Ward of St. George; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother: Thora Kammeyer of Orem; Shirley Oldroyd of Loa; Betty Anderson of Kearns; Bobbie and Keith Hooper of Richfield; Allen and Louise Taylor of West Valley City. She was preceded in death by six sisters: Rula Turner; Alta Albrecht; NaDean Hatch; Myrtle Taylor; Anna Taylor and Ruth Taylor. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the Richfield 15th LDS Ward Chapel, 10 South 200 East in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Wednesday evening from 6 to 8P.M. or at the Richfield 15th Ward Chapel, Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
