Marlin J. Sorensen Salina, Utah - Marlin J. Sorensen passed away in Richfield, Utah on November 8, 2003 in the loving arms of his family at the age of 90 years. His last words of “I Love You” were to his wonderful wife Nelda, of 72 years. Marlin is now in a state of rest and peace. He was born July 12, 1913 in Koosharem, Utah, a son of J.P. and Armmie Hatch Sorensen. He married Nelda Zufelt, November 14, 1932 in Richfield, Utah. He was blessed with four loving children: Marlin Jr. (Diane) Sorensen of Hurricane, UT; Gwen (Rae) Noyes of Salina; Lois Jeanette (Lee) Malmgren of Gunnison and Barry D. (Nao) Sorensen of Sunnyvale,CA. He also has 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Marlin was a strong figure in the community of Salina. His business was Salina Feed and Supply and Salina Equipment. He also ran a large turkey business and feedlot for 52 years. Preceding Marlin in death are his parents; brothers and sisters: Bertie Sorensen, Golda Alvey, Nola Cooke, Carol Sorensen and Cleon Sorensen. The family would like to extent a special thanks to the Richfield Care Center and staff. Services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, located at 87 South 100 East in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
