Marty L. Brannagan

Gunnison, Utah - Our father, grandfather, friend and neighbor, Marlow “Marty” Leroy Brannagan, age 85, passed away on April 12, 2021 at his home in Gunnison. Marty was born in Hastings Nebraska on January 24, 1936 to Leroy Brannagan and Bertha Osborn. He spent his childhood in Nebraska and later Idaho. He earned his GED at Chemeketa College in Salem, Oregon. He married Virginia Ann Rothwell in 1954. They were married for nearly fifty years until Virginia’s passing in 2013. Together they raised a daughter, Deborah. Marty was a truck driver and spent many hours on the road. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt in the lakes and mountains around Central Utah. He loved his family. They will miss him and look forward to seeing him again. Marty is survived by his daughter, Deborah Rich of Gunnison; grandsons: Marty Davis and Walter Dean Rich, both of Salt Lake City. He is preceded in death by his sweetheart Virginia. According to his wishes he will be cremated. Service under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
