Marvin R. Price

Monroe, Utah - Marvin Ray Price, age 60, died December 18, 2011 at his home in Monroe. He was born August 8, 1951 in Las Vegas, Nevada, a son of Richard Macy and Beth Leavitt Price. He graduated from Barstow High School in Barstow, California, Class of 1969. Marvin served in the US Army in Germany, where he worked as a decoder of German messages. He married Lucille Wess in December of 1975. They were later divorce. Marvin got his training in Missouri as a Computer Main Framer and he worked for the Bank of Las Vegas, and for the City of Las Vegas as a computer specialist. He retired after 20 years. He enjoyed photography, making picture frames and gardening. He had a beautiful flower garden in Las Vegas of very exotic plants and flowers. Marvin is survived by his two sisters: Annabeth Potter Jones of Richfield and Gloria Lynn Barrett of Gilbert, Arizona; also a very special friend, Pat Stewart of LaMar, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother and sister: Richard Louis Price and Patsy Lorraine Hardy. Grave side services with military honors accorded by the Monroe American Legion Post #37 and the Utah Honor Guard will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 1:00P.M. in the Monroe City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
