Maurine Hansen St. John

Centerfield, Utah - Maurine Hansen St.John, age 82, of Centerfield, died November 17, 2007 at her home. She was born September 11, 1925 in Mayfield, Utah, a daughter of Orlin J. And Fern Lyman Hansen. She graduated from Manti High School, Class of 1942. Maurine married Alf Taylor St.John, June 23, 1942 in Manti, Utah. They were later divorced. Maurine spent most of her life involved in genealogy and arranging for temple ordinances to be done for her ancestors. She taught genealogy workshops and Sunday School Classes on Genealogy work. Maurine was a loving, happy person. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. In 2003, Maurine moved from West Jordan, where she lived for thirty years, to Centerfield, where she spent many days remembering her younger years in Mayfield and the surrounding area. She had a beautiful view of the mountains from her living room. Maurine is survived by her two brothers: Erval O. Hansen of Mayfield; Harley A. and Carla Hansen of West Jordan; her two children: Uleda and Lloyd Westlund of Centerfield; Bishop LaMar and Bobbi St.John of Boise, ID; her grandchildren: Krystine L. St.John; Nicholas O. and Cynthia St.John; Jennifer J. St.John; Natalie W. and Paul Orton; Brittany K. St.John; LeeAnn W. and Jack Jensen; John W. Westlund; her great-grandchildren: Drake Mikloyd Orton; Sandon M. St.John; Braydon L. St.John; Virginia L. Hunt; Nathan Jensen; Skyler Anderson; her great-great-granddaughter: Luna Hunt. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Utahna Hansen Sudweeks and her husband, Alf Taylor St.John. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. in the Centerfield 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Mayfield Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
