Maven T. Bagley

November 9, 1930 — January 29, 2009

Greenwich, Utah - Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Maven Talmage Bagley, age 78, of Greenwich, died January 29, 2009 in Provo, Utah, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born November 9, 1930 in Koosharem, Utah, a son of Talmage Seymour and Nellie LaPrele Albrecht Bagley. He graduated from South Sevier High School, Class of 1948. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War, where he spent two years over seas. He graduated from Utah State University in Logan, with a BA in Agriculture. Maven married Yvonne Curtis, January 6, 1956 in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a rancher and livestockman. He was active in the LDS Church, serving diligently in many callings. He and his wife, Yvonne were Ordinance Workers in the Manti Temple for three years. He served as Chairman of the Old Folks Committee, on the Fremont River Soil Conservation Board, 7-Mile Grazers Association, President of the Beaver Creek Irrigation System and on many other boards dealing with water, agriculture, ranching and farming. Maven is survived by his wife, Yvonne, of Greenwich; his children: Curtis and Tammy Bagley of Koosharem; Sandra and Sherrill Barlow of Heber City; Joyce and Ted Christensen of Draper; Talmage (Tack) and Rhonda Bagley of Greenwich; Stacey and Travis Hutchinson of Evanston, Wyoming; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother: Donna B. and Brian Duncan of Murray; Jacob Max and Pamela Bagley of Midvale; Wanda B. and Nick Zufelt of Sparks, Nevada; Ada Christine and Kendal L. Jensen of Richfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 12 Noon in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Koosharem Wednesday morning from 10:00 to11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 will be in the Koosharem Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
